We specialize in designing wellness programs for companies looking to improve their overall health & wellness

Our goal is improving health results for both the individuals and their company. 

We accomplish this goal by fostering a collaborative approach with our client's employees. This allows us to create individualized fitness programs and produce tangible, improved health results for all.

Our services are offered by a diverse staff including a wellness director from a Fortune 500 company and a noted smoking cessation specialist. 

Individually our healthy lifestyles include activities that range from racquetball to hockey and strength training to cross country hiking. We practice what we promote and we are united in improving the health, wellness and fitness of others.


Personal Wellness

Whole Health will define a customized program just for you.   We cover all aspects of getting fit and healthy without injury.  We prescribe a fitness training plan for you regardless of what level of fitness you have.  We may include exercises and stretches that will help you reach your personal goals.

We will help you set realistic goals and discuss expectations that you have.

Included in our wellness plan is a 9 page comprehensive personal assessment.


Smoking Cessation

We offer either small group or individual sessions that are tailored to the specific needs of individuals who want to permanently quit smoking. 

Sessions include information on how to; increase motivation, identify and overcome barriers, cope with the automatic triggers to smoke, choose an appropriate smoking cessation medication, and modify your lifestyle to stay quit for good!


Stress  and Weight Management

We now know that excess stress puts on body fat and always has had a negative impact on your cardiovascular health.   WHW has a variety of ways to circumvent common stressors in everyday life.  WHW can finally provide you options to deal with unwanted stress so you can lose those unwanted pounds of body fat. 

We will help guide you in creating healthy daily meals that increase your metabolism and as well as show you how to prepare pre- and post- workout meals to fuel your body properly.

Whole Health & Wellness is a team of wellness professionals that specialize in designing programs for small to medium size companies.

The Whole Health & Wellness team believes that everyone could benefit from the expertise, coaching and support of a Wellness Coach.  In 2012 our team put their beliefs into practice. This was the beginning of Whole Health & Wellness. 

WHW's core philosophy is that one size does not fit all. We do not believe in the "cookie cutter program". We want to form relationships with our clients. We are driven by a need to help others improve. We create custom one-on-one programs tailored to each individual, ensuring success.

Mark Burke


Mark graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science. Mark currently Co-owns Forma Personal Training, his personal business since the early 1990s. He has served as the trainer of athletes in sports ranging from hockey to basketball to rowing. His clients have ranged from Stanley Cup champions to Fortune 500 CEOs. Mark has served as an advisor/director of corporate activities and community health-based endeavors. Mark practices what he preaches being a second degree blackbelt, earning 1st place in Taekwondo and Karate tournaments and championships in hockey. He has completed many 24 hour mountain bike races and 4-12 hour adventure races.  He has also participated in the Rachel Carson Half Trail Challenge, finishing sixth and thirteenth.

Cory Christman

Sr. Director of Operations

Cory graduated from Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology. Cory has worked in corporate fitness for the past nine years, managing a corporate facility for the past six. During this time Cory was responsible for developing annual health goals for corporations while coordinating annual health club events such as wellness activities and group exercise programs. In 2008, Cory achieved certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. In 2012 Cory received his credentials as a “Wellness Coach” from the American College of Sports Medicine. Cory is an avid practitioner of good health/fitness habits. Cory has participated in several half marathons and both Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania Strongest Man Competitions. Cory also participates in YMCA-organized softball leagues during the summer months.

Francis Vitale

Director Smoking Cessation Program

Frank Vitale, National Director of the Pharmacy Partnership for Tobacco Cessation, has worked in the smoking cessation field since 1987 designing cessation programs, educating over 18,000 health professionals in the skills needed to help patients stop tobacco use, and counseling nearly 10,000 patients to quit. Frank created a six-hour CE program, the International Smoking Cessation Specialist Program, designed to teach pharmacists how to do smoking cessation counseling, writing the patient support booklets that accompany this training as well as all auxiliary materials. This program has been presented throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico, Spain and the United Kingdom. Recently he designed a cessation training program and intervention protocol for psychologist in Beijing, China, as well as for the HY VEE chain in eight Midwestern states. He received a B.A. in Liberal Arts from St. Vincent College in 1974 and a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Duquesne University in 1988.



Ron is a graduate of Slippery Rock State College (B. Ed., 1978), the University of Pittsburgh (M.Ed., 1984, Ed.D. 2004) and Carnegie Mellon University (M.P.M., 1996). Ron has had a rich and diverse thirty year career in education as a teacher, coach and administrator. Over a twelve year period from 1978 to 1990, Ron served as a football and track coach in addition to serving as an off season strength coach. Since the 1990s Ron has dedicated himself to his own personal fitness. He has competed in many marathons, including the Pittsburgh Marathon and Elby’s Big Boy Half Marathon, and numerous 5Ks and 10Ks. More recently, Ron competed in the Rachel Carson Half Trail Challenge, successfully completing the 17.5 mile hike. Ron has also been an avid racquetball player for over twenty years competing in local and state tournaments.
